Warren Lister, CEng FIMechE FIET MAE MEWI

After teaching radar in the RAF, Warren accumulated a wealth of experience in the early sixties in engineering research and testing at Ellis Laboratories, investigating a wide variety of domestic electrical equipment failures and safety issues, the design of seat belts and crash helmets, off-highway vehicles, fork lift trucks, highway signs and lighting, life rafts and life jackets. He then joined Dennis Brothers designing fire-engines dustcarts and airport tractors, and selling them world-wide, before setting up the Listavia companies in 1970. Warren has been designing, marketing and selling mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment over a wide range of industries ever since and has a number of patents to his name.

Warren designed ground-breaking transport systems and carried out air pollution studies for the Channel Tunnel, as well as civil and military vehicles, airport airside and landside handling system, automated aviation warehousing, foundry handling and transport systems, transporters, people–movers, escalators lifts and travelators, process automation including pharmaceutical blending and food packaging, internal movement systems, including aviation, industrial, marine earth-moving, metal founding and marine RORO.

In more recent years he has acted as an Expert Witness in civil and criminal Courts and military Tribunals on a wide range of safety, personal injury, and general engineering disputes under instruction from legal firms. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering Technology and of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, an accredited member of the Academy of Experts and a founding member of the Expert Witness Institute.
